Future of AI
Transcript
[00:00] It makes me think of kind of the current job market right now. [00:03] I mean, I talk to a lot of marketers and there's fear right now. [00:07] You've got the tsunami of AI coming and headlines that are saying it's going to take your job [00:12] and all these types of things. [00:14] What recommendation would you give right now for marketers that are looking for the next thing [00:20] or are looking for a thing right now? [00:24] I mean, I would say finding a company that you are deeply passionate about what they're doing, [00:29] obviously, is pretty important because you have to eat, sleep, breathe it to make it work like [00:34] you just do. [00:35] No matter what level you're at, especially at a startup, I think just number one. [00:39] Number two is finding a role and a company that is going to, especially if you're ambitious, [00:46] give you the opportunity to really step up and try a lot of these things and have a boss that's [00:51] supportive of them, or if not, gives you feedback on why. [00:54] But the goal is to get your foot in the door and learn and fail as fast as you possibly can [01:02] and have a boss that understands there's going to be failures, but at the same time, [01:06] through those failures, you will see wins. [01:08] So it's kind of finding that perfect spot where you're going to be able to get the opportunity [01:12] to be able to do that and learn more faster than other people that are stuck in a role [01:17] because they're content doing one thing. [01:19] And I think that's my advice for very ambitious people that want to get their foot in the door [01:23] with the company. [01:24] Also, obviously, the company matters. [01:26] I believe that we are in a stage where, yes, AI is a big, big topic, of course. [01:32] But when you think about the future of AI, think about the future of what bundling AI looks like. [01:37] There's a lot of standalone, siloed AI products that are not going to exist because AI is just [01:42] going to become a layer within a lot of the products that we already know. [01:45] New products will be created, but it won't just be value extraction. [01:49] It should be value creation. [01:51] I think it's like thinking about AI in a strategic way if you're thinking about going into that. [01:55] But I also think about any company, any industry now, it's not what it was. [02:00] You can't just create a SaaS company that is going to stand alone and exist within an [02:06] ecosystem where budgets are tighter and it can be bundled within another company. [02:11] That's the problem. [02:13] I give advice to people sometimes and I'm like, [02:15] do you think this company could be built tomorrow by this other company? [02:19] Because that's what could happen. [02:22] How will AI impact that company specifically? [02:24] So it's a good thing to look at when you're thinking about where you want to land. [02:27] But I deeply believe in AI becoming embedded. [02:30] I believe in that in the extraction. [02:33] Click up embedded AI in a brilliant way into the product. [02:36] It's such a natural fit. [02:37] It alleviates a lot of the things that you're already doing, [02:40] the busy work to actually get work done, which I love. [02:43] I think that there's going to be a lot of net new value creation by using AI [02:46] and not just extraction. [02:48] And I'm really excited about that. [02:49] Yeah.
